Starting A Good MLM Blog

Building a blog is one of the best ways to quickly gain credibility in the network marketing niche. But the problem with most MLM bloggers is that they are not as technically endowed compared to those in the Internet marketing niche.

Since MLM blogging is a crossover between network marketing and Internet marketing, it makes sense that network marketers should invest in some technical skills to improve their blog knowledge - especially considering that blogs are search engine friendly and it provides a great boost to your credibility as an MLM expert.

Here are three mistakes I must highlight in order to prevent new bloggers from committing these blogging ’sins’.

(1) Do NOT use Blogger or free Wordpress. This is one of the biggest mistakes that I see over and over again. Free platforms save you $9 on a yearly domain name and a few bucks a month on hosting, but people who use Blogspot or a free Wordpress will take a huge cut in terms of credibility. Trust me on this… those are only useful for a casual blogger, but what would your prospects think of you and you hand out a name card that shows a website promoting Blogger or Wordpress? Remember - MLM is all about BRANDING so make sure you brand yourself! Besides, you can’t monetize the free Wordpress and there is a risk of getting caught in Blogger’s spam filters so use these at your own risk.

(2) A lot of bloggers fail to update their blog regularly. This may sound like a no-brainer, but if you do not blog regularly, it is the fastest way to kill your blog (hence, your network marketing business will suffer a drop in sales and sign-ups as well).

(3) They fail to market their blog effectively. You blog, and blog… and you blog again! But having no traffic on your blog is like painting the Mona Lisa and hiding it in your basement. Face it, most bloggers fail to market their blog and they get discouraged after awhile when no one posts comments or interact with them.

It is very important to stay focused. Remember that your blog is designed to help you build your network marketing business and help you make money.
