Free Traffic Series - Blogging

I can’t stress how important it is for distributors or networkers to have their own blog (whether using a personal domain name or one associated with the network marketing company).

For me, I have one of the top rankings on Google for the keyword “MLM Blog” and it gives me a minimum of 200 visitors every single day. There is rarely a day that I do not make sales or capture leads from my blog. But the most important of all is that it brands me as a network marketing expert – hence the blog title: MLM Blog Expert!

So what can you do with a good blog? A couple of things:

- You can blog as often as you like and you can share all the latest information you want.

This is especially critical for new bloggers because people do not know (or care about) who the heck you are and if you want to make a lasting impression, you must get the word out and give them a reason to come back as often as possible.

- One of the best ways for new bloggers to progress is to blog as often as 2 days a week.

Preferably 3 times during the weekdays and once during the weekend. This kind of consistency gets people coming back over and over again.

- You can add pictures to your blog and make your blog come to life!

- You can also add audio podcasts or put in YouTube videos. And the best thing about YouTube videos is that they are free!

- Do you see that little green ‘share this’ icon at the bottom of the blog post?

These are not just for your readers but for YOU to get in additional traffic from social bookmarking sites and to give you much needed authority links that will help you tremendously with your standings with Google and their SERP (search engine result page)

- Even RSS feeds are a good way to get your content out to people. RSS feeds are good because they automatically email your content to your target market.

All you need to do is sign up for an account at Feedburner and you are good to go.

Blogging is good and fun but there must be consistency and persistency if you wanna get long term results.

    I would caution about cutting and pasting too often. Readers like original content, so you might not want to go to the “repost well” too often.
