Becoming A Can Collector…

Jaz

Early this morning, I was having my breakfast at a nearby hawker centre. Just when I was taking a sip from my drink, I saw an old lady waved to me, from across where I sat.

I didn’t know who she was.

cans

But looking at the big bag full of empty drink cans she was dragging over her shoulders, it was obvious that she was a can collector.

She came over to my table and she asked politely if I had finished my drink. I told her that I would give her the can once I’m done. She smiled meekly and she moved off to the next table, asking the next patron.

I looked at her and I couldn’t help but sympathize with her. There she was, frail and petite… But the labor she went through seemed agonizing.

I wondered how things have been for her in her early life that she had to put herself into such strain now, in order to survive.

The question is, with the current downturn in the economy where people are losing jobs more quickly than getting employed; I wonder what the odds of more people collecting cans are, in the future.

But on the lighter note, you do have a choice. You can either go with the flow of the bad economy or you can go against it… and start looking for other alternative sources of income such as a home business.

As what Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad has once said, “Whatever you become tomorrow lies in the decision you make today”.

It clearly states that you are indeed, a master of your own destiny.

If someone were to ask you, “Where would you see yourself in the next 20 or 30 years?”
What would your answer be?

I don’t know if you can relate to this. But don’t wait to live to regret the things you’ve not done, while you have the privilege to make full use of your time now.

Talk soon,
Jaz

Some things are elusive. She could be turning a thousand bucks a day. Like the “bums” asking for a buck in front of the Wall Street stock exchange.

I agree. But why is it that everyone wants you to join a network marketing program? I am trying to make living with having my own store online. I have been not been successful with any net work. I am getting tiered of everyone ttying to sell me their product. If you want me to try your product then purchase merchandise from my store.

Very interesting article. Yes its hard all over, I see lots of people collecting cans and bottles to get extra money. I live in a small town and jobs are hard to find. I am trying to get things working on line so I can make money to help my two sons and for other reasons. I am working but don’t know for how long.
    thanks fr Heather
