I Was Scammed Twice By Other Marketers

Have you ever experienced a bad day where everything doesn’t seem to go your way?
Especially when “bad” things start to happen coincidentally all on the same day. Things like your car broke down, tripping on your own foot, getting food poisoning, and getting drenched by a car speeding across a puddle of water is more than enough to keep you pissed the whole day.
How will you handle it if you were to experience all of these on the same day?
Well, it did happened to me… it was definitely one of my worst days ever. I was simply frustrated… When I came back home, my family members new better than to talk to me. They see I was fuming mad. I could literally go berserk if I were to be provoke under such conditions.
I bet you know what I’m talking about.
Well, I had on a punching bag hanging from my ceiling… And I use it not only for the my muay thai training, but also to vent my frustrations and anger on. But after awhile, I would be just as fine as I was from a start of a new day. So how’s that for anger management?
But the story doesn’t end there. When I checked my email, I found that I’ve actually been scammed by 2 other Internet Marketers. We had an agreement to promote each other’s website. But turns out, I was the only one who was fulfilling the agreement. And I’ve never heard from them ever since!
I can’t even describe to you how upset I was. For a while, I tried frantically to get a hold of them over the phone. A small part of me still hope that they’ll pick up my call and explain to me that they’ve made a mistake and that they’ll correct it right away.
But seriously, what are the odds? I knew I was kidding myself.
Then, I realised that I’ve actually invested a lot of energy in feeling discontentment. And it seem almost unnoticeable that 4 hours have actually passed and I was still held in disbelief that I’ve been scammed big time.
What a waste of time! So immediately, I shifted my state of mind from exasperation to determination. And started looking for more affiliates to promote my product. There was no more time to waste.
You see, in life… no matter what obstacles we face, we just have to move on.
Dont be dishearten when things don’t go your way, because it will only cause inaction on your part. The more you spend time fighting and quarrelling about things, the more energy you use and the less you will accomplish.
So, the next time when something doesn’t go your way… be it your online business or in your everyday life; tell yourself that sh** just happens and move on.
P.S. Don’t get hang out on all those nonsense excuses, make sure you have a bullet proof system that will drive tons of leads and customers to your business even when you are in a ‘bad’ mood. This system is drop dead easy to use.

On days like these, you should take an off day, go take a dip in sea water or bathe on flower water to wash away the “sway”, go a have a good shit and to further cleanse your system, and take a nap. You’ll wake up totally refreshed, like a new born baby, ready to face a fresh new world.
I really like your attitude - things can go crap for a while, but if you refuse to let them get you down then you actually come out on top.

Yes, all of us take an occasional “beating” of some sorts.
Sometimes more frequently than at other times.
But it does happen to every one of us in some sort of way.
Your advice is dead-on.
You must not spend your precious energy and intellect on
“steaming about it”, but realize it as it is—just a situation that happens
as part of life.

On days like these i love to take my two sons outside and play catch or play basketball it eases tension and they can run around and blow off some steam i wish i had their energy.
And about being ripped off i have had one experience i sent a payment toa certain individual for a product i have never recieved it most likely never will the risk was worth the lesson so its not really to big of a deal .
But now i need to go get some much needed rest .

Things like that happen to us from time to time. Once in awhile we run into people who make really good impression, and the then they let us down, in some way or another. Don’t take it personally. It’s just a lesson. I’m sure by now you got over it. And tomorrow it another day, another week and all is well.

I say your HEART IS YOUR BEST ASSET. These other marketers are obviously operating from their brain, ego and selfish disregard. Either that or they have ADD and the attention span of a gnat, and can’t even keep track of their obligations and promises.
You are so right to move on.
It is the Pure Heart that will ultimately win the day combined with an arsenal of WISDOM, which is VERY different than intelligence.

I got scamed by one of the big gurus, after trying to cancel my subscription he just kept taking
the money each month!!. I had to get the fraud department from my bank involved and after a few months he canceled it but not before taking one last payment.
This made me distrust everyone on the internet for a long time, now I realise not all on the internet are scam artists.
There is a saying and its very true (what you give out you get back) so rest assured that you are a genuine person and only good will come to you.

A very poignant issue you covered here as I was scammed by a well known IM expert who’s name I might even care to mention. Then again I don’t assassinate people’s character as the amount of money was not much. I unsubscribed from his list and avoided any future product launches. However, I am the kind of person who does not dwell on other people’s misgivings.

Yes, I have bought from other Internet Marketers and didn’t get what I paid for. They would brush me off by saying that something was wrong with my computer because I couldn’t download their product.
Good Morning Jaz, Thats a nice name if you like Jazz music. However you comment is right on .However I get scammed many times a day. So uch so I instantly recognize them and quickly either avoid them or send them a quick note about letting them know I have sent their information to their state attorney general or to the BBB Better Business Bureau or to comsumer affairs. That usually does the right thing and I never hear from them again. I used to feel guility about doing that but there is some kind of brain chemistry to if continually bombarded with scammers or junkies that makes one feel they are doing the right thing. I always feel better when I do that. There is always exceptions. There are those who operate outside of the united states that are harder to report. But the Interpol have been very helpful in that regard. I still am amazed at the number of scammers and junkies that are still out there looking to take full advantage of the weaker people and older people who do not know any better than to trust those who will take their money in a heart beat. Sorry but you are the first one who has gotten my attention since I have been scammed by more overseas marketeers than most. Sooo I do not do business with any foreign country or any one who is from a different country. You included. If I know you are chinese or korean or Japanese or Nigeran or any other foreign country I do not answer their emails and I immediately delete all mail from them. However this does not eliminate the scammers. It only reduces the number of scammers and junkies out there who most of the time I recognize because they always use the same techniques even though the words change. You wanted my opinion so here it is. AFTER ALL WHY DO YOU WANT MY EMAIL ADDRESS?? SO YOU CAN SEND ME OFFERS AND ALL SUCH OTHER CRAP I DON’T WANT. I am sending it to show you I understand what you are doing, perhaps you don’t really want my opinion after all. You already know this type of heading will trigger many types of responses and will also generate many new leads. Thanks again but there really isn’t need to respond. If this is your plan and I suspect it is. Then while I have your ear, delete all reference to my email at once. I do not need any ones back yard opinions just to generate leads for my products. I am not a money hungry marketeer who feels that I must have money enough to buy everyone every thing available just to make myself feel good. I don’t suspect you will publish my comments anyway Thanks T

I think you’re doing a right thing by just forget what has happened and move on to the next one. I trust the law of karma will repeat when you do something bad to others. Just keep cool and you’ll be rewarded handsomely.
Hi Jaz, I bet I know what you’re talking about.
In former years if things went wrong although I had given all orders in detail and written. It could happen that I became furious if my orders were changed, but after a while I realized, this attitude took all my energy and I had better used this energy to make the necessary changes and develop a new strategy to get an optimized result - sometimes even better than I was to start with my first idea.
It seems the online-businesses sometimes give no or very little results to begin with, but after a while the mind is focused to make a better choice, than this could have been as a “bloody” beginner!
Life taught me, not to explode immediately, but swallow empty and move on for the better. This is much better for your health and for sure will help to find a better solution as you might have had with the scammers. Be happy to NOT share your life with scammers.

I really respect you for being the bigger man after being scammed by two lesser persons and move on to better things than waiting for answers that often don’t come.
I say there is a just God who knows what’s going on in your life and any scammers out there and He will be the final judge, so we can go on without judging anyone because that’s what He does and He will do it perfectly.
So, Gung Ho, go for it, man!!

Hey Jazz, been there done that. I’ve had many opportunities to be scammed both on the net and off. I always feel that it its their loss not mine. From time to time, I even post the exact nature of the scam on one of my blogs. Just keep in mind that a) most of the time you will not win b) you only have to win a fraction of the times you try to come out the big winner. Remember, a baseball batting star only has to hit one time in three to be a hero. A salesperson who makes one sale in four calls is a superstar. So why should we as Internet Marketers expect to win every time. I figure one win in four tries makes me a superstar. What about you?
I get scammed quite often, life goes on . You should develop a relationship before commiting yourself.
I get over 200 e-mails a day. I do not have time to read them all. After a while , I just pick and choose which ones that I have time to read, and the ones that are the most sincere.
My Brother, I know what you are saying as I have been there myself. I am glad to see that you learned from it and are a better person and marketer for it. I take doff my hat to you sir. I would love to meet you some day the good Lord willing and the river don’t rise.

I do not have my own website set up yet, but I have no problems understanding whats you are saying. You gave good advice. Why waste time being bothered by what can’t be changed? There is too much life to live and too many thngs to do, to waste your time and energy on things like that.
Whenever someone asks me how I am doing, I always say the same thing, “I’m still surviving. As long as I am still surviving, there is still hope.” This is my own philosophy which has, over the years, gone a long ways towards reducing the stress levels, in my life.

Jaz I fully understand how you feel. As a newbie to internet marketing I fell victim to scams also.
The first took me for 3,000 USD and the second for 10,000 USD together with lots of little scams that took me for 47 67 77 97 & 197 (why the 7 ??) The ones that cost me most in reality were the freebies, loss of pride, that is! The special offer page often had no way of downloading the free thing unless you succumbed to the purchase.
Do you know what,Jaz, although they cost me dearly I have to say they were my decisions that resulted in my loss and in reality there is no one else to blame.
Just as you say, as an experienced marketer you should have known better, just as myself, a person approaching 80, I should have been more careful and wiser.

Hi Jaz, You know, I know just how you feel. But in my case I just just can`t this business of the ground. AND it`s frustrating. You see I don`t have a credit card and living in South Africa I cannot use my checking account. Even Pay Pal requiries a credit card. So, you see I am getting nowhere. I cannot even get a website, I mean how do I pay the host for hosting the site. Anyway, it is so nice to chat with someone out of the country. I say you made the right decision and moved on. Yes, I had a couple of days like that not so long ago. My wife and I were off down the motorway off on our hols towing a trailer behind us. All of a sudden the trailer went wild - swerving all over the motorway - eventually it ended up the trailer was pulling the car around in a circle and then off onto the verge. We were lucky not to have been killed with other cars crashing into us. The car and the trailer were a rightoff. Luckily we have fully comp insurance so we had a hier car delivered and off we went to try and continue are hols with the gear we had been able to salvage from the car and the trailer.
The just a few days later I tried to get some cash out of a ‘hole in the wall’ - no joy even though I knew there was plenty in there. I tried a few other holes in the wall thinking the first one was not working correctly - still no joy. I ended up having to go home to have a meet with my bamk manager. It turned out some ‘wonderful’ person on the net who I had purchased info from had emptied my bank account of a good few thousand pounds - I was broke. Luckily as I was at the bank the same person tried to buy an airline ticket using my account details so my bank knew I wasn’t trying to cheat them.
To cut things short, my bank refunded all the money I had lost - which I thought was amazing - and I sure hope they got the guy who was up on the fiddle. I have a really good idea who it was but without proof I obviously can not say a word.
The lesson i learnt is DO NOT PURCHASE A THING UNLESS YOU PURCHASE USING PAYPAL.
