Hi Jaz,

Yes, I had a couple of days like that not so long ago. My wife and I were off down the motorway off on our hols towing a trailer behind us. All of a sudden the trailer went wild - swerving all over the motorway - eventually it ended up the trailer was pulling the car around in a circle and then off onto the verge. We were lucky not to have been killed with other cars crashing into us. The car and the trailer were a rightoff. Luckily we have fully comp insurance so we had a hier car delivered and off we went to try and continue are hols with the gear we had been able to salvage from the car and the trailer.

The just a few days later I tried to get some cash out of a ‘hole in the wall’ - no joy even though I knew there was plenty in there. I tried a few other holes in the wall thinking the first one was not working correctly - still no joy. I ended up having to go home to have a meet with my bamk manager. It turned out some ‘wonderful’ person on the net who I had purchased info from had emptied my bank account of a good few thousand pounds - I was broke. Luckily as I was at the bank the same person tried to buy an airline ticket using my account details so my bank knew I wasn’t trying to cheat them.

To cut things short, my bank refunded all the money I had lost - which I thought was amazing - and I sure hope they got the guy who was up on the fiddle. I have a really good idea who it was but without proof I obviously can not say a word.

The lesson i learnt is DO NOT PURCHASE A THING UNLESS YOU PURCHASE USING PAYPAL.

Hi Jaz, You know, I know just how you feel. But in my case I just just can`t this business of the ground. AND it`s frustrating. You see I don`t have a credit card and living in South Africa I cannot use my checking account. Even Pay Pal requiries a credit card. So, you see I am getting nowhere. I cannot even get a website, I mean how do I pay the host for hosting the site. Anyway, it is so nice to chat with someone out of the country. I say you made the right decision and moved on. All the best in your business and it`s always a please to hear from you.

Hi Jaz. Don’t we all get scammed in one way or the other? The best way is to keep your guard all the time. You never know when it happens.

Jaz I fully understand how you feel. As a newbie to internet marketing I fell victim to scams also.
The first took me for 3,000 USD and the second for 10,000 USD together with lots of little scams that took me for 47 67 77 97 & 197 (why the 7 ??) The ones that cost me most in reality were the freebies, loss of pride, that is! The special offer page often had no way of downloading the free thing unless you succumbed to the purchase.
Do you know what,Jaz, although they cost me dearly I have to say they were my decisions that resulted in my loss and in reality there is no one else to blame.
Just as you say, as an experienced marketer you should have known better, just as myself, a person approaching 80, I should have been more careful and wiser.
I wish you success in your future business activities and stay positive my friend.

Sorry to hear that someone would do you that way. I can appreciate the way handled yourself and went on with your work after thinking it over. I would still be boiling over with anger. I hope they come to their senses and make it right. Anyway you did the right thing and I hope I can do what you did if it ever happens to me. Thanks for sharing and the best to you.
