Last month, I was browsing through some magazines and I saw a full page ad on ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) and I was totally fascinated by this mean machine.

Now, just in case you don’t know how exactly an ATV looks like…
The ATV looks very similar to a motorcycle and it operates like one too.
The only difference is that, it is typically equipped with three or four wheels.
As the name implies, it is designed to handle a wider variety of terrain than most other vehicles.
So the next thing, I did… I got onto my computer and looked up the website that was offering three hour long drive throughs through rocky terrain.
At that moment, I was determined to ride the ATV even though I didn’t know what to expect from riding up rocky hills and going down steep slopes.
Well, there was defintiely some risk involved. But I couldn’t care less.
Experience has taught me to live for the moment as tomorrow may never come.
So I called up 2 of my good friends and told them about the of my plans to visit one of the small islands of Thailand, where the ATV drive through was at.
The guys were cool with it and we made a prompt decision to leave Thailand the very next day.

Now, this is in fact my 5th holiday trip for the year. And a few of my peers who didn’t know about my online business yet, thought I was being ridiculous.
One of them even told me that I wasn’t getting any younger and that if I keep a week off, I could lose my job!
I guess he didn’t heard me when I said it was the fifth time of this year that I was going on a holiday.
I mean, any employer would have fired me by then.. But I just didn’t have the heart to tell him that and also… everything else is paid for from my online business.
But even so, doesn’t mean that if you’re making money on the internet it means that you’re going to have the time freedom to travel as an when you like.
The truth is, I still see a lot of internet marketers who can’t just leave their computers alone. You may think it’s just a habit, to bum around surfing the net. But these guys are not doing that. They are what some would call, internet marketing victims.
Yes, there do earn some money online… props to that. But there are still as busy as ever. It’s as if they have gotten themselves a new 9am - 5pm job.
Look, if you find yourself still slogging long hours online. You’re really doing it for the wrong reasons.
You gotta stop trying to do everything yourself.
Internet Marketing is supposed to be a business, not a job.
That’s why they call it an online business - duh!
Ok, I’m not trying to be harsh here. Well, maybe a little. But if you’ve not leveraging your business today, you’re not going to find the time to go on holiday trips every month, period.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m telling you this because you’re my friends and I care about your business.
The key to this whole “Da Vinci Code” is really simple.
Just automate your business. Outsource as many things as you can to other people.
Remember, if it’s going to be something that someone else can do it, just pay them to do it.
You’ll be surprised by how much this can scale up your profits.
With more people in your team handling stuff like article writing, blog submission… etc, You’ll be able to focus more time on building more marketing campaigns (That’s where all the money is at)!
Don’t you think that this is truly a simple way to work smarter by doing a lot lesser and getting a whole lot done in return? I bet you’ll will agree with me.
Now you don’t have to begin with splurging on building a big team of professionals just yet.
Start off small, probably with one or two staff (Or virtual stuff).
Work with them on a project basis first to see if they’re able to deliver quality before you consider investing in them for the long term.
Now, going on a holiday every month isn’t impossible isn’t it?

Very well said and thanks for the practical tips. Truly, the freedom that exists in the online business is not there in a 9pm - 5pm job and one needs to realize and enjoy it !
Hey Jaz,
How are ya? Just wanted to drop by and say awesome blog post, man! You really hit on a ridiculous important topic when you said:
“You gotta stop trying to do everything yourself.”
I’ve seen SO many people fall victim to that, just thinking they have to do everything themselves. Either that, or they don’t know how/what to outsource, so they do it all anyway.
And I agree, they definitely need to treat IM as a business, since it surely is! If you’re a business owner, you’re an entrepreneur. That means that you should focus on growing your business and working ON it, not IN it. Most people get into IM to eventually quit their real job, and here they end up slaving away with it and often times don’t ever get anywhere with it!
So props to you, great post. I think a lot of people would benefit from it.
Hope to talk soon,
-Tom
P.S. I see you’re in Singapore… Do you know the marketer John Yeo, by any chance?
A good idea,we can have a try~
Hi jaz,
I really appreciate what you wrote and i am actually doing the same thing. I have a virtual staff and they do the blog submissions and trafficking while i focus on campaigning. Its really awesome to have a business nowadays because its fast and easy to do since majority of people are online. Unlike before that you have to really do it with meeting this people physically and have a seminar or Business Opportunity meeting and you have to spent on the venue and food. Nowadays, its cheaper and accessible not only to certain people around the area but also globally.
I am soooo busy, how would I ever go on a monthly trip? Who would take care of my business?
Nice post, I enjoy reading your website.
I love and hate this blog at the same time.
I take lots of time with my family, maybe 7 vacations a year. But when I am not on vacation I am constantly working on my computer. I don’t outsource anything, and I drive my wife crazy staying up late at night and sleeping until 10 o’clock. I like to work when the kids are sleeping.
If I could let go a little and outsource some of my work, or take on a partner, I think I would have a lot more time to have fun with my family.
Great post and how much fun would it be for a month off. I’m not sure I could stay away from the computer but it be worth the effort. Love the part about scaling your profits by doing less but accomplishing more.
Thanks for sharing Jaz..
Nice blog you have here my friend… My ultimate goal is to be able to go on a 6 month vacation twice a year! See you at the top!
Hey Jaz, great info. If one is to get the time back, time must be spent in the beginning. Whether it’s 9-5 or 3-11, point being, if you don’t spend any amount of time getting it going, it’ll never be worth it. It could be an hour a day, to 15 hours a week, whatever suits you, as long as you are persistent even through the learning curve, which we all know is the hardest part.
I have discovered several ways to generate traffic for free regardless of internet knowledge. Simple ways, that when applied, can see traffic in as little as half an hour. These are things that a person can do with their business in the beginning, until they get to such a point, that they can afford to deligate different areas of their business, in order to take more control of their life and take a holiday once a month or more.
Keep up the good work Jaz, look forward to more of your posts.
Very thought provoking statement: Internet marketing is a business, not a job.
Thanks for another great and well written article.
Regards,
Simple Joe
Building a team and automating certain tasks is indeed a good idea. It allows one to step back and look at the “big picture”.
Great post I really enjoyed reading it
I am glad to see you and some other folks still in the Internet Community. Lately, I had redo my website. Sometimes, I do see you pop around Tamp Areas.
I appreciate the youth and energy that you bring to your blog posts. Living in the now is a great way to live, and really its the goal of all MLM’s in the first place. Otherwise why would we bother doing MLM if it didn’t bring us some freedom.
Jaz,
Thanks for writing this post , i find the information that you have shared of great value to the people that i connect with and going to pass this on to my tribe. I look forward to reading more from you.

I agree, people find it hard to make that transition from the job mentality to a business mentality
I agree totaly on your story here. It does take some savy to set up a mlm business and then have all the time in the world to take vacations like you do. Of course you do have to start small…and if you dont dispise small begenings then you can dffntly make it to the top. I believe that there should be a system created for mlmers to plug into to show us how to achieve the marketing aspects that generaly autopilot the business. You have to create a machine that runs with all the parts functioning complementing one another……You have your lead capture pages funneling prospects building lists of customers that purchase funded proposals and then backend pages that bring your primary business to the forefront. Building relationships is the key, then prospects have the trust to join your venture. Automation in progress. Autoresponders that work for you 24 7 and paying you at the same time. We all need to learn to set the up the machine…once set up it runs its self. Marketing stradegies that can bring thousands of prospects daily to your business is good. I know this and do this everyday.
