2008 was a pretty exciting year for me. I had so many ups and downs that I had never experience before.
But I am quite glad that my online businesses have increase by 300%.
For this year, instead of setting my new years resolution, I have decided to throw it away and set up a few short goals instead. And to refine and improve my goals as the months go by.
What I am going to do is to set up 4 quarterly short goals instead of setting up a full 12 months goal.
This way, I am able to take small steps and do the necessary adjustments as I go along.
This is very important, because it is much easier to set a short term goal and a goal that you can easily measure results compared to a long term goal which you will get de-motivated if you fail to see any results.
So in the next 3 months, here’s what I wanna achieve.
1. To increase my membership size to 500
2. To Increase my list size by 15,000
3. To earn $65,000 by end March (it’s coming)
4. To get 500 customers for my new product launch in Feb
5. To have a more balanced fun and work lifestyle
I will update you about my goals in 3 months time.
So what about you?
Let me know what you plan to do.

Hi Jaz:
It’s a great idea for 2009 to set short-term goals like you’ve done…sort of like eating an elephant “one bite at a time”!
So often people focus on their “big picture” goals and ignore the short-term goals that are needed to achieve their longer-term goals.
I’ve written an article about “Self-discipline and habits, which help to create the foundations of success”…I believe it’s important to have the right mindset, attitude and obviously self-discipline to do the things that one needs to do to achieve success.
Best wishes to you and your readers for a Happy & Healthy New Year!

I agree with you Jaz in setting short-term goals. It is much easier to achieve and also to keep the motivation alive. Hope you achieve your goals! Will keep tabs in 3 months time.
Now, I’m going to set my quarterly goals..
Hey Jaz,
Happy new year.
Look like you will be busy in the first quarter of this year
My short term goal are:
1) launch my first site in french.
2) Putting the final touch on my new membership site.
3) Increase my list size by 5000.
And to keep having fun marketing online
Once again happy new year Jaz.

Hi Jaz
Thank you for the email I got today but I was thinking about trying Opportunity PLR this new year. As a newbie it is confusing to pick the right opportunity . What is the difference between opportunity PLR and nick of cash ( 5 ways to generate cash fast ) Right now I do not have a website can I still be able to try the opportunity PLR for 30days and still make money?
Thanks
Patsy
Very good goal target. Very focus. I hope you could be my mentor.
Waaah…what a goal to achieve for you. Well, my goal is similar to you but by the end of 2009, i must earn about 80k from the internet marketing. It may be tough and it may be impossible, but its a goal that i wanted to achieve in it this year.
Patsy, OpportunityPLR and In Nick of Cash are different product. OpportunityPLR is a lead generation tools you can use to brand yourself and to grow your leads through content submission.
In Nick of Cash consist of 5 methods you can use to make quick cash. Most of it consist of services where you can get paid within a few days.
Hope this helps

Thanks Jaz for your insights on your quarterly goals for 2009. WOW!
These are my goals:
1. Make my first baby.
2. Make real money online.
3. Earn $10,000 a month.
4. Have 3 online businesses by March ‘09.
5. Help create value in other people. (More people will need help in ‘09.)
YOUR PLANS WILL COME TRUE!
Shawn
Jaz,
Your goals show me you are ambitious and have clarity. I applaud you for having the courage to set quarterly goals and working to better them as time passes.
I am in the fitness industry. Here we have more people with resolutions at the New Year than any other industry I believe. It is sad to see how many never stick with them for a year. I also want to grow my business, my list and my sales. This internet marketing thing is quite complex and always something to learn. I watch guys like you and others and it provides me with incentive to march forward.
Thanks for everything,
Michael
Great goals, I am sure you can do it!!! Will be posting my goal for 2009 soon… lets work hard together pal!!

Hi Jaz,
Thanks for sharing your resolution with us. Firstly, i wishes you a Happy New Year.
I do look forward for this year especially i have just got to know more and more about internet marketing since the recent past AIC seminar. I’ve been in the civil service for as long as 18 years..and frankly speaking, i’m really getting lousy and sick with the job that freedom are guarded by rules and procedures.
I have been finding ways and method to see where i could go from here, but its always tough in the outside reality, physical career world for a person that had been in civil service for more then a century. But after i had attended the AIC seminar, it really brings me insight into the new world of opportunity which is in internet.
I immediately signed up 2 well respected mentor by myself that i feel i could relate to them more closely like friends and not just a mentor to me. Of course, one of the mentor is you…hahahaha…
Anyway, cut the story short. My resolution this year is to hope to earn some real regular and constant income to make life better for my family and i hope to quit my 18-19years of career in civil service before the Christmas Eve, so i could fly my whole family overseas for a good holiday on Christmas Day. I hope you seriously help me to achieve this resolution.
Cheers.
