You see, network marketing prospecting uses many different types of traffic generation methods to get leads for your network marketing business. You can get potentially thousands of leads everyday if you setup your marketing system or funnel correctly. But first, let me share with you one of the worst ways to deal with network marketing prospecting:

Based on my experiences in network marketing, the first thing an upline tells their downline to do when the downline first joins a network marketing program is to build a name list. This could be a list of friends and relatives and the upline will teach them how to get them to buy their products or join their team as a business builder.

The problem surfaces when the rep runs out of friends and relatives to prospect.

A lot of American network marketing reps resort to building their network marketing business by cold calling and buying leads. In my opinion these two methods don’t work. The biggest problem with this type of prospecting is that it doesn’t work and you are only irritating your prospect by calling them as a stranger. Who loves to receive calls from strangers, right?

You are wasting your time with cold calling and buying dead beat leads. Let me share with you some network marketing prospecting tips that will help you to see network marketing in a different way.

You can start by building a mailing list. You can setup a landing page (also known as a lead capture page) by giving away a free special report on your network marketing company. You can write one yourself containing information about your product or you can pay a ghostwriter to write an E-book for you.

Once your lead capture page is setup, your goal is to get people to come to your website by driving targeted traffic there. You can use a variety of ways to do so. You can buy traffic via Google AdWords, you can use co-registration leads to build your mailing list, and you can also use banner advertising to drive traffic to your website. At the end of the day, you will need to test each traffic generation method and see which one is the most effective for your business.

Once you have people in your list, you can use an autoresponder to automate the follow-up process and pitch your MLM opportunity on the back end.

    In my opinion I would say to someone to go directly from the beginning and learn lead generation techniques in order to build a list and save his friends and relatives. Online MLM is much more powerful and new distributors should listen to your advice and start prospecting on the Internet.

    It dosen’t matter if your mlm sells physical or virtual products. Ultimately
    if you want too generate money and or build a productive downline via
    the net, you are going to need to build your own independent email list,
    so that you can bond and build the relationship that ends in a win win for
    you and your prospects.
