Did you know that the network marketing industry is at least a 100 times the size of the Internet marketing industry? Let’s examine the facts before we make a conclusion whether these facts are valid or not…

According to the Alexa rankings, the number of searches for the keyword “MLM” is at least 1 and a half times the size of the keyword “Internet marketing”. Likewise, the keyword “Network Marketing” is at least half the size of the keyword “Internet marketing”.

So if you combine all the searches for MLM and network marketing together, it is at least twice the size of the Internet marketing niche, right?

Now, here’s a very interesting fact… Do you believe that only 2% of network marketers are building their business on the Internet? Actually, if you asked me, 2% is already a very big percentage and with large companies like Amway still encouraging their distributors to build their businesses ‘offline’, you have a strong chance to dominate this huge niche on the Internet. But let’s assume that only 2% are online, are you convinced that more and more network marketing distributors will start to bring their businesses online?

Sounds like a big growing market, doesn’t it?

My point is that you will be able to cash in on this huge market if you are willing to invest into a couple of skills for your network marketing business.

Skills such as:

• Blogging (Building a network marketing blog and talking about your product)
• Marketing your business over a forum or using social networking services like MySpace or FaceBook
• Building ‘niche’ blogs about network marketing companies while making money from AdSense or affiliate programs (for example: Building a blog about Amway or Herbalife)

As long as you can position yourself as a leader on the Internet, you should have no problems trying to dominate this niche. That is why I always focus on building a list of subscribers that I call a down-LIST instead of building a downline in a network marketing company.

With a good mailing list, I can keep in touch with all my subscribers and give them useful information on how they can build their network marketing business on the Internet. The best thing about the “Internet Network Marketing” niche is that your knowledge about the industry is very useful for you to write good content. Search engine keywords are not that competitive and you can monetize this niche with less effort compared to other, more competitive niches like the Internet marketing niche.
