155-Is MLM A People Helping People BusinessHave you ever been accused of being a greedy person because you are involved in network marketing?

I find this to be common amongst religious circles because there are a certain group of people, with a ‘Holier than Thou’ attitude who seem to proclaim that network marketing, the art of recruiting people and making money off their downlines is an inherently greedy, self-centered industry.

I seriously beg to differ.

People who claim that network marketers are greedy people are missing the point of the business. I believe that the network marketing industry is a wonderful industry not because of the income potential but because of the way the business model is built (as Robert Kiyosaki pointed out that MLM is his definition of a perfect business).

I call it a business of people helping people.

You see, in network marketing, I need to build a team of downlines and leverage on their efforts in order for me to succeed. But before I can achieve that, I need to ‘pay-it-forward’ first by spending my time and my money to train my downlines to be a success.

Unlike in the real world, if you train an apprentice to be a master like you, they will run off and open a new shop – hence becoming your competitor! However, in network marketing, I can do my very best for my downline. In fact, even if they surpass my income or surpass my pin level, I’m even happier for them because I will be laughing all the way to the bank (while feeling happy for my successful downline at the same time!)

Furthermore, I am also able to give a very good opportunity to someone else. Make no mistake about this – the economy is in shambles and there is a lack of opportunities everywhere. People are getting retrenched and unemployment rates are hitting the roof! If we don’t do sometime and help people FAST, more and more families are going to suffer!

That is why I am more convicted than ever when it comes to helping people with my network marketing business. I offer them a glorious opportunity to make the best of what they have in their hands.

So is network marketing a ‘greedy’ business? Only if the individual building it is inherently greedy. After all, there isn’t a perfect business model in the world and humans aren’t so perfect either. All you need to do is to do your best, help others and provide value for others and you will have a clear conscience about your network marketing business.

So is MLM a people helping people business? Let me know what you think?

    Quick Question.

I just started a new Website for my new Network Marketing Health Product, Enlyten

As any new site, I need links in and out. My concern is when I am linking out, do I need to be concerned with folks who use rel=”nofollow”. And will that really help them to get credit for the out link, but does not delute thier pagerank?

    Thanks,
    Brian Fitzgerald

    Hi Brian,

No Follow just blocks the ‘link-juice’ from going to the targeted site. If you are promoting affiliate programs, it doesn’t really matter but if you are selling links, you better put ‘do-follow’.

Your page rank will not be diluted if you link out using ‘do-follow’ but when you link out to many people, although you are not affected, but the ‘juice’ gets diluted amongst the recipients, that’s all.

Just like what Khai said, if you are linking out to an affiliate product, it doesn’t matter if it is a ‘no follow’ link.

But I won’t prefer to you do more link in instead of linking out.

Build more backlinks and traffic will follow.

I just hope I can pass it on to a lot of people and still make a living doing it. I am willing to apply your teachings to help me make it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your free lessons.

Our intentions of people helping people can be easily misconstrued as people using people. This can happen when we don’t respect MLM as a long term business. It takes time for us to self reflect, self realize and practise in daily life on how to consistently show genuine concern, honesty, discipline, commitment, hard work, etc.

    Regards,
    Alexander
