I’ve personally struggled with this before and you will most likely find this to be true for yourself – after all everybody started from zero and we all want to get started making money. They say that it is much harder to make your first $5,000 compared to your first $50,000. We have to work hard at overcoming the learning curve as well.

Generating free marketing leads become very important. You must never try to emulate people who are building their network marketing business with a big budget if money is a problem for you. Don’t try and run expensive hotel meetings or venture into another country physically. You can start by generating free marketing leads on the Internet even if you have less than $500 to spare for leads.

One of the easiest ways to get free marketing leads is to start a blog. Blogs are extremely search engine friendly and you can get started with a blog for as low as $9.29 for a domain name and $5-$10 for hosting (per year and per month respectively).

Once you have setup your blog, you can immediately brand yourself as an expert and start writing posts on your blog about your network marketing opportunity or your product. Get the word out by submitting articles to article directories and posting your blog to blog directory submissions. These are ways to get your blog or your blog posts ‘ranked’ on the search engine and you can drive consistent traffic easily.

Another way to get free marketing leads is to use social networking websites such as MySpace, Facebook or Friendster. It is very easy to create a community within Facebook. Start a group and talk about network marketing there. Invite people to join your group and start discussions. Social networking is one of the best ways to get marketing leads because it is free!

If you are truly serious about meeting more people, you can do the same by going into popular network marketing forums as well. You can use a signature file to drive leads to your website.

But you must not stop there… generating leads is just the first part of the equation. You must also use landing pages and opt-in forms to capture the email addresses of the people who come to your website. The marketing effort takes time to setup, but once you have set things up, everything becomes smooth sailing from there on.

    Arrived at your blog after seeing this post being promoted on Facebook, which is 100% proof how Social Networking and blogging compliment each other!

    To ensure that you rank properly in the search engines, it’s important to host your blog on your own domain as you mention, instead of going for the free ones which won’t be beneficial in the long run.

    Great article. With so many part time networkers who also work a job and have a family to take care of it only leaves them a few hours a week to build their network marketing business so it’s important for them to learn how to brand themselves
    using web 2.O because once you set it up it works 24 hours a day bringing in leads which leverages the part time networkers time. Learn to generate leads and spend your money on educating yourself on how to market online instead of buying expensive biz op leads or chasing friends and family.
