The frontier rep syndrome can easily spread to your down line. How would you feel if they joined another company every time a new frontier showed up?
- Survival rates are low: Let’s keep things real. In life and in business, there are no guarantees. For years, corporate
- New companies mean newer untested support systems. Mature, solid companies have better systems for training and ongoing support. That’s why they have lasted over the years. As the first on the frontier of the new company, you have to build your systems yourself. The company is planning on learning from your mistakes, so you will be expected to work harder for your down lines and your company!
- Moving down the ranks. Right now, you may be a high up name in your company as a proven leader. If you decide to switch companies, you won’t be a leader anymore. You will have to start from scratch again, leaving your current rank and income, leaving your financial future in the hands of another person who might not cut it.
If you are planning on jumping companies, here are some tips to consider that can help you be sure that changing companies is right for you:
You need to assess the management, the representative team’s average track record, the market potential for the business, determine whether there is demand for their product and, assess the demographic trends and your own network that is willing to follow you.
In addition, you must do all of your own homework. Be sure to keep in mind that both your family and your down lines are counting on you as their marketing representative leader. Don’t let them down! Don’t be swept away by false promises and excitement in something new. Take a look at the business landscape from a logical perspective, not from an emotional perspective. That way, you can make a fully informed decision.
