   Jaz Lai:

   After watching the video about the 3 myths of internet business failure, I agree that these myths certainly are not the basis of failure; however, there is some truth to them too. I have been investigating internet marketing for over a year, following various marketing Gurus for their different ideas and roads to success. My biggest problem has always been (and still is) remaining focused on one project. As you had mentioned in the video, I get over 100 emails per day from marketers trying to sell me their latest hot product, or their friend’s latest product. One reason I can be easily distracted from my project is that half-way through it I find out I need to purchase another product to make the plan work - They give me the product free on the front end and catch me on the back-end to purchase. Usually this causes me to exceed my budget and then some other marketer comes along and says you can do it for free, only to be hit with their back-end product. Also, another distractor, is my lack of technical knowledge when it comes to building a website or uploading anything to the web (like adsense code). I still haven’t figured it out, although I know much more about it then when I first started. Now my other problem is having money to get started since I blew it all on so many other programs that I couldn’t stay focused on. I know that I am not alone and maybe you are the marketer that can rescue me and teach me how to build a successful biz without being distracted. Lately I have been checking out affiliate marketing.

   Alan,

   Yes that’s right. Being focus is really important. When you are laser focus, you will not be distracted easily.

   If you have technical difficulties, look for a technical business partner to do your project together. I am not a technical guy but if you need to set up website, I can recommend my technical guy to you.

   That’s right. The money making fundamental are always the same. You don’t need bell and whistle to be successful online.

   Hi Jaz…

   I wholeheartedly agree with you. Foundation is exremely important. Many people started out looking for products, learning all stuff as much as possible, get hands on all sorts of softwares. What you said is very true. Found on the foudation, Spend time, effort and money there first building up the list. With the list, then start selling the product(s). Thereafter, looking at generating traffic to buy the product. On-sart, generating traffic should be for building up the list. Nothing so sophisticated about that. Do need complex tools. Human nature is such that they will respond to simple stimuli. Thereafter, concentrate on building a solid relationship, confidence and trust with the datebase and then one can sell anything.

    I completely agree with this video. Business fundamentals do not change, no matter what. Build a solid foundation, work at it hard, and good things will come. No matter what you are marketing on-line or off-line this will work.

    For example, the company I have joined with has an excellent compensation plan, with a duplicatable process for their downline. I am interested however in looking at what you have to offer.

    At times it can be easy to get distracted by following what everyone else is doing and the brand new ways to make $. I truly agree with you 100% - the focus should be creating and following your marketing plan.

    This is a great post. True nothing is an constant as change. However slow but sure always wins the race! Don’t believe the hype is very true. As a home party plan consultant I deal with these issues daily, there is a common myth that one can without any effort or skill on their part make a fortune overnight! Financial success is not an event it is a SKILL!
